Most things in life come down to the basics which are essentially all the same. This also goes for Basic Dressage and Doma Vaquera. Doma Vaquera is the base of all dressage. A well and fully trained Doma Vaquera horse can easily do a Grand Prix test which is a testament of their balance, agility, strength and versatility. One can use the basics and apply to both and end up with an amazing result both ways. There is a saying that goes 'there is more than one road to Rome' to which I say "but there is only one Rome". Doma Vaquera can get you there.

As with Doma Vaquera, the goal of dressage is to be one with our horse so that the two are speaking the same language and creating an effortless flow of movements which vary from a basic walk, trot, canter to pirouettes and half passes. Again we come back to the 5 essentials that are required to achieve this and they can be applied to both Doma Vaquera as well as Dressage.
