A LA VAQUERA

To be one with your horse is the ultimate goal for every discipline but nowhere is this as essential as for Doma Vaquera. Originated from herding the Toros Bravos cattle in Spain, this form of equitation requires obedience and submission from the horse as well as discipline from the rider. To move as one in alignment with each other in order to be agile and quick is crucial in working with the Spanish cattle but also a beautiful filosophy to train your horse.

A Doma Vaquera horse is the epiphany of balance and strength. A well and fully trained Doma Vaquera horse can easily perform a Grand Prix test. It is a testament of the absolute control a Vaquera rider has of his/her horse.

By focusing on the 5 basic requirements of riding, one can reach the highest level of unity and eventually achieve the most advanced exercises. Very similar to dressage but coming from a functional origin where the exercises are not just required but absolutely essential.
